- Food imitating product presented as candies in the shape of small red apples with gold coloured leaves, covered with grains of sugar-imitating plastic (approx. dimensions: diameter 3.3 cm, height 3.8 cm). The product is made from spongy, synthetic material and is packed in a transparent box containing 6 pieces (approx. dimensions: 11 cm x 7.5 cm x 4 cm) with gold coloured ribbon. The “candies” cannot be bought separately. The packaging contains no indications or warnings.
- Risk
- The product poses a risk of choking because, the form and appearance of the product is such that it is likely that children will confuse it with a foodstuff and consequently either place the product in the mouth, suck or ingest it, which could cause choking. The product does not comply with the Directive 87/357/EEC on products which, appearing to be other than they are, endanger the health or safety of consumers.
