Description
Children’s high chair in antique stain. Material in base beech plywood/solid beech, clear alkyd/nitrocellulose lacquer. Legs in solid beech clear alkyd lacquer. Identification marks: IKEA logo/address, 4 digit date stamp (YYWW), 5-digit supplier number and article number located on an adhesive label attached to the bottom of the seat. The affected high chair is marked: Date stamp 0801 through 0808 and Supplier number #13755.
Risk
The product poses a risk of injuries because a tight fit between seat, crotch restraint and horizontal restraint is not achieved due to an error in adjusting the length of the crotch restraint to each high chair. The crotch restraint prevents a child from slipping out of the high chair and is an important safety feature. One complaint received stating that the crotch restraint was not firmly attached to the seat and horizontal component of the restraint system, and could detach. The product does not comply with the relevant European standard EN 14988.
