Description
Passenger saloon car “Lexus” The chassis numbers of the affected vehicles are as follows: From JTHB496S#05002387 to JTHBH96S#05005181 and from JTHBN96S#05001123 to JTHBN96N#05002300, with # representing any number for zero to nine. Date of production: between February and March 2005.
Risk
The product poses a risk of accident and injury because increasing the strength required to turn the steering wheel increases the strength needed to control the direction of the vehicle, which may lead the driver to lose control of the car while it is moving. Since the permanent magnets are not properly attached to the power steering rotor, the engine gradually loses its torque when the steering wheel is turned full lock.
