Arsenic may cause cancer, may damage fertility or the unborn child, causes damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure. Cobalt is a skin sensitiser and may cause cancer. Lead is harmful to human health, accumulates in the body and may affect breast-fed or unborn children. Nickel can cause skin irritation, induce sensitisation or elicit allergic responses.
