Risk
null There may be inadequate clearance between the engine cover and the cruise control cable, which could allow the throttle to stick in the fully open position when the accelerator pedal is fully or almost-fully depressed. If this occurs, it would be difficult to stop or to decelerate, which could lead to an accident. This risk exists regardless of whether or not the cruise control is used.
