LED light strips that can be shortened with EU flat plug and operating voltage: 230V. Product sold online, in particular via TEMU (unique product identifier: 601099572076673).

Risk

The product can be cut off to be shortened according to the instructions but is missing components and information to prevent contact with live parts after shortening. The user could receive an electric shock via accessible live parts. Moreover, the product is described as being protected against water jets (nozzle) from any angle but has an EU flat plug that does not offer this protection. The user could therefore receive an electric shock. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive nor with the European standards EN 60598-2-4 and EN 60598-1.
